Room Requests
There are special rooms in the Library that can be reserved for group study, or for media viewing.
Seminar Room
- The Seminar Room is available for SMC student group use only (2-8 people).
- The Seminar Room may be reserved for a maximum of 2 hours per group, per day.
- Reservations are on a first come, first served basis, and may be made up to one week in advance.
- The Seminar Room is intended for SMC student use, however, if the Seminar Room is occasionally needed by a faculty member for a small group discussion, we may be able to accommodate the request on a case by case basis.

Byron Bryant Viewing Room
- The Byron Bryant Viewing Room is available to watch videos by SMC student groups of 2-6 people.
- The Byron Bryant can be reserved for a maximum of 3 hours per group, per day.
- Reservations are on a first come, first served basis, and may be made up to one week in advance.

Media Carrels
- Individuals can watch videos on one of the eight media carrels on the second floor, each equipped with new dual format DVD/VHS units and flat screen monitors. Headphones can be checked out at the Circulation Desk.
Reservations are not accepted for media carrels.
