Interlibrary Loan
Articles, books, book chapters, and media not found in the Saint Mary's College Library's collection may be requested from other libraries. The below services support the information needs of current SMC faculty, students, and staff.
Need a book or DVD? Link+ is a consortium of 51 academic and public libraries within California and Nevada. Books and some media items may be requested online and will be delivered Monday through Friday for pick-up at the Circulation desk or a participating pick-up library. ILLiad
Attention: We have upgraded ILLiad! Patrons should now use their SMC usernames and passwords to access the ILLiad system.
Need an article? ILLiad is the system the library uses to process interlibrary loan requests, borrowing material from libraries throughout the nation. Article and book chapter requests generally take 2-3 business days. Books can be requested through ILLiad but generally take 2-3 weeks. Patrons can create an ILLiad account to submit requests and access material. For more information, please download our brochure.
