circulation privileges
A valid Library card is required to check-out library materials.
Books
Alumni may purchase a library card for a $10 annual fee. Community Borrowers may purchase a library card for a $50 annual fee. The loan period for most material is 28 days with one renewal.
Orinda Union School District Employees have the same loan period as community borrowers, but do not have to pay the $50 fee. Please contact the Circulation desk for further information, or download our brochure.
Renew Books
Most books can be renewed using the following methods:
- In person at the Library Circulation desk.
- By calling the Circulation desk at (925) 631-4229.
- Renewing online at My Albert Account/Renew.
Please remember to have your Library card on hand for any of these transactions.
Books which have Holds or Recalls placed on them, or books which have a "Lost and Paid" or "Billed" status, may not be renewed.
Overdue Materials
Notification is by e-mail for any overdue or lost materials.
Replacement fees for lost items: $50 plus a non-refundable billing fee. If the material is found and returned within a year, the $50 fee is refunded.
